Movie trailers are the window to every great movie. They are the things that make us excited about an upcoming movie and let us know (sometimes) if the movie is worth watching. With Halloween around the corner, I thought we could take a look at the greatest horror movie trailers ever made.
If you enjoy this post then don’t forget you can like my Facebook page, Busy Gal Blogs so you never miss a blog post from me. Let’s jump into this list and find out what I would class as the top 10 greatest horror movie trailers ever made. Drop me a comment and let me know what your favourite horror movie trailer is.
This trailer may not show a lot but what it does show is terrifying, to say the least. We only catch glimpses of Regan but that’s all it takes to send a chill running up your spine.
John Carpenter really knows how to make a horror movie stand the test of time for sure. The Thing is still amazing now as it was in the 80s. The trailer really makes you want to know what on earth this “thing” is and wonder why the hell is that guys head coming off.
The Night Of The Living Dead:
The greatest zombie movie of all time is still this classic in my opinion. The trailer is so dramatic and the creepy voiceover is what makes this trailer so epic.
Apart from the obvious “Heres Johnny” part this trailer totally sucks you in. The fact that you see Jack Nicholson normal as can be and see him deteriorate throughout the trailer is enough to make you want to watch the movie.
This is a really scary trailer even after all these years it still gives me the creeps. You cant help but want to see this poor girl get her revenge.

A Nightmare On Elm Street:
This trailer is enough to give you nightmares for a week. Freddy Krueger has always creeped me out.
From the tree clips to the creepy possession clips this trailer makes this movie a definite must watch if you have never seen it before. The Evil Dead franchise is one of the best horror movie franchises out there.
The Lost Boys:
Ok, I may be a little biased with this one becauseI’m a huge vampire fan and when I was a kid I had a thing for Corey Feldman… but it’s my post. The trailer plays great songs, has sexy vampires and some comedy elements to it. Seriously why wouldn’t this make the list?
This classic trailer is not one to be overlooked. Its packed with suspense and drama, so much so that you have to watch the movie after seeing it.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre:
The trailer pulls you in by showing you a lot of flash scenes in just the right way. I’m not a huge fan of the movie but I think the trailer is done really well.
